S-100 Devels Horse Sinker9 viewsHere is another Pre 1955 lure. This lure is stamped... Devels Horse... It has the heavy hook hanger and has the split ring on the line tie. It is in color # 8 Shad with the red gills. It has a different eye color. Black / Gold / Black instead of Black / Yellow / Black. The eye looks Silver in the light indoors. Outdoors it is definately a Gold Leaf color. I have 6 other old Smithwicks in the color # 8 Shad and all of them have the standaed Black / Yellow / Black. One other collector that I know of has an F-200 heavy hook hanger in the color # 9 Yellow Perch with this Gold eye color. Very unique.

It has wide green bands on the sides and a lighter green in between the stripes.It also has the Red Gill. It could be the color which is later called Green Minnow. Green Minnow has the red gill and the green scale sides like this one. All they may have done was to drop the wide band stripes in later years.Jun 24, 2010

F-200 Devel Horse - Serpentine4 viewsHere is an old F-200 Devel Horse in a non-catalogued color. It is Ivory with the Black Wave line on the sides. Snake or Serpentine pattern. It has the split ring on the line tie and has the older heaver hook hanger. These were produced in limited quantities sometime during 1951? - 1955. I have only seen one other lure in this color. Another collector has a King Snipe in this same color. VERY RARE.(sometime between 1956 - 1962 they produced in limited quantites a un-charted serpentine style color - Yellow with a Green wavey line on the sides). Jun 12, 2010
